Port to Port MTB want their riders to breeze up the rocky climbs, dominate the beach run, beat their personal goals and more importantly... BE FROTHIN' TO RACE!
 
So the team are super excited to announce we have again partnered with Australia's leading cycling coaching company, FTP Training, so that ALL Port to Port MTB 2017 registered riders receive a FREE 12 week training program in the weeks leading up to the event.
 
Be FITTER, FASTER and STRONGER than you ever thought possible!
 

A multi-day stage race like Port to Port MTB needs more than just a good level of fitness. Day after day, each stage brings a different mix of challenging climbs, frothing descents on single track and fire roads - all that make MTB racing so much fun. As a rider you need to be able to backup fresh each day and this means your training needs to prepare you specifically for these demands.
 
The FTP Training 12 week programs are designed to cover exactly that! Used by beginners looking to challenge themselves in their first stage race, masters riders wanting to beat PB’s right through to the elite riders of the TORQ MTB team, FTP Training programs are based on a winning formula.
 
Most importantly this means they are tailored specifically for each individual’s availability, skill and current fitness level. This is NOT AN ‘OFF THE SHELF PLAN’!
 
Completing all 200kms of the Port to Port MTB course is a huge effort and we want to make sure you’re having the best time possible on and off the bike. We want you FROTHING and this means preparing you to handle the demands of each day in a time efficient program that fits in with your busy life schedule.

Each week your training plan will be electronically sent to you along with specific media content. The Bronze programs content covers strength and conditioning, stretching with the likes of FTP rider Peta Mullens, nutrition with Team Torq owner Dean Clark, technical skills videos with Ride Technics Dylan Cooper, course analysis with Mark Tupalski and Fenz, mental skills and processes to overcome each day. Everything needed to prepare you for the race. Each month you can login to the Webinar and have your training questions answered by FTP experts. Silver and Gold programs also come delivered with a premium Today’s Plan account which can be used to analyse and track your performance gains with video help from the data expert himself, Fenz.
