Withdrawals and Cancellations
Riders confirmed in the race who wish to withdraw, must do so in writing to the race office via email email@example.com.
It is the athletes’ responsibility to ensure the race office has received any communication. All requests will be responded to. If you do not receive a response from the race office within 7 days of request, it should be assumed that it has not been received and you should contact us by phone 1300 761 384.
Upon confirmation of this request, riders may be eligible for a partial refund of their entry fee (details below):
- Written cancellations received before 5pm, 29 March 2019 will be refunded 50% of their Entry Fee
- Written cancellations received before 5pm, 26 April 2019 will be refunded 25% of their Entry Fee
- Any requests received after 5pm Friday 26 April, 2019 will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
Any additional purchases (including but not limited to) ACTIVE Fees, FinisherPix packages or Mountain Bike Australia Membership paid at the time of entry are non-refundable at any time.
Deferral and Conditions
Riders are able to defer their race entry to the 2020 event before 5pm, 10th May 2019, after this time no deferrals will be offered.
Once a deferral has been completed the option to receive any retrospective refund or make further deferrals is no longer available.
Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) Membership
To be eligible to race every rider is required to hold a valid race membership with MTBA, either a MTBA existing member Race Membership or an event Race Licence.
Race Membership: You must hold a valid race membership to MTBA for the current season. You will need to enter your membership number at registration.
Race Licence: If you don’t hold a valid annual registration with MTBA you will be required to purchase at time of entry.
*Ensure you bring your annual membership card to rider check in, if you are unable to produce this you will be required to purchase a race licence before you can ride.

Conditions of Participation
Port to Port welcomes riders of all abilities. Our motto is ‘it’s a ride, not a race’. While there are elite riders participating each year, inexperienced entrants who are new to the sport of mountain biking also enter.
Riders must be 15 years or older on the day of the event. Riders under the age of 18 must have an adult complete the registration form and waiver form and must be accompanied on the ride by a nominated adult.
Riders under the age of 18 must not ride more than 2 minutes apart from their nominated adult at all times. Support crew under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Compulsory Rider Briefings
All riders are required to attend the compulsory pre-race briefing each day. These will be delivered 15 minutes prior to that stages start. The briefing will inform you on what to expect on course, road rules, dismount zones and rider etiquette. Time penalties will be awarded to riders who do not obey the race rules.

- Sturdy, closed in shoes

- Camelback / water bottle for hydration with enough water for the course
- Bike pump, either on you or in your car
- Spare tubes and puncture kit, either on you or in your car
